Youth bring climate action message to Queen's Park.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to create a  very successful rally  at Queen’s Park.

We were able to include a strong youth voice against the cancellation of the cap and trade program and in favour of a meaningful climate action plan. We will be posting a blog with more photos on-line shortly.

Bill 4 will be up for debate and voting next week. You may wish to attend. The best we can tell is that Wednesday October 24th will be the best day to follow the debate and possible final vote. 9 – 10:15 am, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (Question period) or in the afternoon 1:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. You can check the agenda closer to the date at  this link .

TORONTO MUNICIPAL ELECTION – VOTE ON MONDAY OCTOBER 22ND FOR A CLIMATE ACTION COUNCIL!

MAKE SURE TO VOTE ON MONDAY!

We are into the last few days of the campaign. If you have any questions about which ward you are in or where to vote check  this link .

ClimateFast encourages you to spend whatever time you have available on the weekend or on Monday volunteering with a campaign. There’s lots to do such as phoning voters, transporting voters to polling stations and knocking on doors to remind voters to vote.

There are three campaigns that have been selected by the  Toronto Council Renewal Project  for support. These candidates, if elected, would greatly strengthen representation for climate action at City Hall Please see their contact details below.

More information on candidate in other wards are available  here:

ClimateFast member Sharon Howarth invites you to get in touch with her about going out and working on a campaign. If you have never volunteered she will go with you to the campaign office and introduce you. Call or text Sharon at: 647-713-2423 or email her:  ss.how11@gmail.com . She’s keeping track of where help is most needed.

If you’d like to help with social media, please contact:  ken_wyman@yahoo.ca
