This webinar highlights climate solutions that can be implemented on a large scale and should be considered for inclusion in the major projects investment portfolio for the planned Canada Investment Summit, which is scheduled to occur September 14 to 15 in Toronto and is being organized by the Canadian government. The panel also discussed the politics of shifting the agenda to focus on substantial investment in climate solutions.
Climate Solutions to Build Canada Better will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM EDT. The webinar is being held ahead of the Canada Investment Summit and will focus on practical climate solutions, investment opportunities, and projects that can help Canada strengthen its economy while making meaningful progress on climate action.
The conversation will be moderated by Laura Lynch, former host of CBC’s What on Earth?, and will feature a diverse panel of climate and clean-economy voices, including Jason Mogus of We Are Adamant, Catherine Abreu of the European Climate Foundation and former Executive Director of Climate Action Network Canada, and Natalie Gerum of Youth Climate Corps BC. We are also in the process of confirming a potential Indigenous person to join us as a Panelist for this upcoming webinar.
The discussion will look at how Canada can move from climate commitments to implementation, what major clean projects and solutions should be prioritized, how investment can help scale these solutions, and how climate action can create economic opportunities and good jobs across the country.
